Founded by refugees for refugees, Legacy Mission Village’s mission is to provide hope and healing to refugees in the Middle Tennessee area by empowering them with education and skills to achieve stability, thereby facilitating successful integration into American society.

TVC has partnered with Legacy Mission Village for the past seven years, supporting and mentoring families spiritually. TVC has also supported Legacy through programs like English, citizenship, the Journey after-school program, kindergarten readiness and driving permit classes. All of Legacy’s programs are free to refugee families.

TVC also partners with Legacy several times a year for Second Saturdays of City Service projects. Through SSCS, TVC Youth has been able to spend time with many refugee families and TVC families have painted apartments, wrapped diapers and volunteer regularly in Legacy’s ongoing programs.

Later this month, Legacy Mission Village is hosting a dinner to honor the high school seniors and their families to celebrate their achievements and plans for the future. The dinner is scheduled for April 27 from 6-8 pm at Legacy’s offices. Volunteers and supporters are welcome to attend.

Would you like to get involved in this meaningful work? Legacy is looking for volunteers for the summer to support their Kindergarten Readiness Program, Journey after-school program, English, citizenship and driving permit classes.
