Cottage Cove is a faith-based program providing education opportunities and training in the arts to at-risk children and youth. They have two locations and offer a free, daily program with a waiting list of those wanting to attend.

The Village Chapel has had a long involvement with Cottage Cove, from individual volunteers who teach music or offer homework help to Second Saturdays of City Service groups that have help maintain and enhance their facilities and programs. Thanks to your tithes and offerings, we’ve also been able to provide regular financial assistance to help fund program and facility enhancements, most recently being focused on strengthening Cottage Cove’s program staffing.

In the month of April, Cottage Cove will begin their Giving 4 Good fundraiser, where a donor group has committed to an all-or-nothing financial prize. In other words, if they can raise the entire amount within a two-week period, they will match that total.

Cottage Cove can also use volunteers from 3:30-6 pm every school day to assist with activities, help with homework, or teach a skill (including piano, guitar, etc). During the 10 weeks of summer, they need volunteers throughout the day, as their program runs from 8 am to 5:30 pm.
